Eighteen-year-old suicide Formánek enters mandatory military service knowing he won't survive the first battle. During training, he discovers that Russia is not at war with rebels or another state, but with inhuman monsters. No one properly explains the reason for the conflict to the soldiers, and communication with the enemy is impossible. It's simply the perfect opportunity to finally die. But then Formánek meets Madam, and suddenly he has something, or rather someone, to live for. Just as he starts to do a little better, he contracts Muria, one of the most dangerous monsters, and a cycle of futility and despair begins. "Just dying" would still be a good outcome. A full-color sci-fi semi-comic based on the story "Murie," which won the Daidalos 2020 competition.
