The outcast is planning an uprising against those “up above” and hopes to rescue his friend Hitomi during it. She is being held as a test subject in one of the laboratories, where nothing good awaits her. The laboratory staff want to use her to capture Genja and determine whether he really carries a new variant of the virus that could be the key to saving the rest of humanity. But does the company on the station want to risk wasting time developing a vaccine when it is close to its own “solution”? Everyone is now interested in this exceptional child, but who truly cares about her? Will she ever meet Hitomi again? Can she trust anyone not to betray, abandon or try to kill her?
