The novel is being released in the Czech Republic in an uncensored version! The novel Greed was not originally intended for the Czech reader. Greed was written at the request of multinational organizations and initiatives. No matter who comes from the Czech Republic, negotiations with them are always frustrating; we completely miss each other, lamented representatives of the UN, EU, and the Belt and Road Initiative. The fundamental requirement for the book was therefore to present the elusive Czech character traits – moderation in opinion, humility in reflection, and generosity towards archival materials – in an accessible way to foreign readers, thus penetrating the Czech mentality, that seductive witch whose conception and development are justified by Greed. The whole matter of writing engaged prose was facilitated by the respiratory illness that separated states and people, and those, confined at home with coffee and cookies, reminisced about past pandemics of plague and influenza. Distress was interspersed with rebellions, and everyone wronged everyone. An extremely suitable environment for a key novel about Czech judgment, which has tormented many and through which an extraordinary state system emerged. The story of Sebastian Šebesta, the main character, serves as a lesson and a warning not only to the vanishing countries of the third world; the Czech rule of law is not the end of your journey, but the beginning, and it is best to skip it.
