Pomalu tančím a nic se neděje – Petrák Bořivoj (2022)

The collection by Bořivoj Petrák contains 58 poems accompanied by photographs of sculptures and plastics by Radek Andrle. The author writes about his poetry collection: "The first real poem I wrote when I was sixteen. Rimbaud still lived in it, but it was already mine. It was about love and desire – about love that slipped through my fingers. My father had a large library, and poetry held a significant place in it. Some poets resonated with me immediately, but there were many who did not appeal to me. And so it has remained with most of them to this day. I wrote a lot. I needed to write. In adolescence (but also in adulthood), poetry can be a remedy - a way to cope with a restless soul. However, it is not a mirror; the image does not have to be accurate, and perspectives on the world can have different angles... and the reader has the right to their own feeling. When you write a poem at sixteen, it is a cry. When you write poetry in maturity, it is a challenge. It is a passion that cannot be shaken off. I love poetry where words are alive, have different shapes, sounds, rhythms, and meanings. A poem can be abstract and may not have a plot or story, but it must contain emotions, a concentrated and very strong feeling."
