Převrat II - Události 17. listopadu dnešníma očima – Jurman Olin (2021)

To mark the 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution, the book "Overturn: a true, unfiltered look at the events of November 17, 1989" was published in 2019 by several eyewitnesses. Within a year, its print run sold out three times, and readers are asking for a sequel. Therefore, we reached out to additional direct participants, and in this urgent time, when a small part of our society is trying to rewrite history in their direction, we expanded the spectrum of eyewitnesses. Readers will find opinions and memories from the protagonist of Charter 77 as well as from students of that time - now sociologists, writers, and movers in high positions of our state. They will learn how the ROH was dismantled and "taken apart," what was happening at the Castle with the protection of the new president, and in the army's general staff. They will find the perspective of the ambassador to the UN and the USA and uncover the classified insights of our last intelligence officer in America. They will recognize the struggle and positions of the leadership of the International Union of Students. They will read an extensive interrogation of the "dead student Šmíd" and discover the memories of a Border Guard officer, the last highest representative of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, and several viewpoints on the betrayal of the last Soviet representative Gorbachev, who sold his satellites as inconvenient companions along with his principles.
