Interfaith dialogue is often discussed, with various conferences and forums taking place, but there can be no talk of a deeper penetration of this topic into practical theology and the practical life of the Muslim, as well as the Christian community. Undoubtedly, the Christian side, especially the Catholic one, has a significant activity in this field that surpasses that of Muslims, who are rather drawn into religious dialogue by their Christian counterparts. When I was working on my master's thesis, I realized that in the case of Islam and Christianity, we can actually talk about two positions of theologians – positive and negative. Both positive and negative theology have not only a theological dimension but also a current and social dimension. It can be said that positive theology is followed by the mystics of Christianity and Islam, who suggest in their works the salvation of all people, some even the possibility of Satan's salvation, if he suppresses his pride and humbles himself before God. However, the social dimension also includes the fact that, for example, and mainly historically, positive theology played its role in the relationship between Muslim rulers and Christian subjects, for instance, in the Muslim Ottoman Empire.
