The author of the book, clinical psychologist and psychotherapist Jana Žmolíková, loves to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city to Neřežín, which enchanted her with its poetic charm years ago. From her practice and motherhood, she knows well which childhood woes also reflect in adult life and how many troubles could perhaps be avoided. And just as children grow and emotionally mature, so does the fairy Záskalka find new friends in the form of a human girl named Evelínka, the fairies Ostružinky, Borůvek, and Malinek, the sprite Podbrďáček, the carp Mračoun, and the fawns Chaloupky, who teach her what friendship is and how important it is not only in fairy life but also in human life. They all experience both joys and worries, and anyone who delves into the stories of Záskalka, Evelínka, and their friends from the world of magic and humans can share in these experiences.
