The textbook English in Pediatrics is written for pediatricians, medical students, and nursing students, pediatric nurses, and caregivers who plan to use the current period for language preparation for the time when they can choose to live, study, or work in English-speaking countries and/or need to read original texts in English. Teachers can choose from reading texts and various types of useful exercises according to their students' language levels (from basic to advanced) and professional interests. The first lessons deal with pregnancy, prenatal care, childbirth, and care for the baby in the first weeks of life (breastfeeding, bottle feeding, introducing solid foods, administering medications). They also discuss sleep, washing, bathing, and diapering. Subsequent lessons focus on child health (hypothermia, overheating, vomiting, temperature, hospitalization) and infectious diseases (colds and flu, chickenpox, whooping cough, vision and hearing problems, infections in the mouth and throat).
