The well-known radio journalist Pavla Jazairiová is the author of two dozen publications. However, the book My Name is Figaro is her first publication for a young reader. It is a tale of a dog who lives with his owner in the countryside, has many friends there, goes on long walks in the forest, and would most love to chase deer. The world from his perspective looks a bit different than how adults see it – children will appreciate this best, as they are close to straightforwardness and simplicity. The refined simplicity of the author's style is also adapted to the child's perception. An integral part of the publication is a wealth of illustrations by Tereza Říčanová and graphic design by Helena Šantavá.
