Beschreibung
"The voyage has ended, we are before another voyage." One of the greatest Czech sailors, Rudolf Krautschneider, describes his voyages to the northern polar regions, western Africa, and South America. Their memento became the 1982 war in the Falklands, where Ruda sailed on the ship Polka among the war convoys of warring armies as the only neutral. People and the ocean is a book mainly about the people of the sea, full of stories scented with sea salt. It introduces us, for example, to Cape Verdean fishermen, Lisbon worm hunters, or the youngest sailor in the world. The book is loosely followed by the title Sailing Around the World for a Penguin's Feather.
