Chen Ming-Pan * Writer, educator, editor, publisher, and host Chen Ming-Pan was born in 1951 in Hsinchu, Taiwan, into a family of journalists. In 1968, he began publishing essays and poems in various Taiwanese newspapers. Later, he focused mainly on the genre of reportage and literary travelogues. He has written more than a hundred works to date. Exploring Taoyuan is thus full of emotions and reflections, as he answers the question of why he moved from the capital Taipei to Taoyuan. The book is both a personal and literary journey, as well as a practical guide. Chen Ming-Pan tries to capture the typical atmosphere of Taoyuan and convey the experience that the reader has when visiting various places.
