The doctor heals, nature cures. This is also known by the little sprite Ostružinka, the doctor of forest animals. He lives in a stump cottage under a blackberry bush along with spider Václav. But when the forest falls ill, every piece of advice is precious, and a human must help. However, adults sometimes overlook problems. What will happen to the forest that is destroyed by the evil bark beetles? The animals flee to a new home, and Ostružinka and Václav are left alone. Thanks to the children, Karolínka and Kuba, they manage to return to the animals. A kind book full of lovely illustrations by Jana Smetanová, including those waiting to be completed with crayons by young readers. The title is recommended for inclusion in preschool preparation in kindergartens.
