Four women find themselves on an island of eternal spring, essentially against their will and only to fulfill the last wish of a former friend. Can they forgive old grievances during their 55+ trip? At first, it seems that instead of reconciling, their paths will part for good - but during a rainy week, something does change. The author writes with brutal honesty and gentle humor about disappointments, resignation, and the fear of aging, but also about moments of hope and human closeness. This engaging story loosely follows the successful novel 'Me and the Strudel,' published a few years ago, and is intended for women aged 55+, as well as their husbands, daughters, and granddaughters.
