Currently, developers can encounter a wide range of programming languages. These actively used programming languages differ from each other in many areas and are also deployed in various fields of IT. One of the most popular programming languages today is the language called Go, whose capabilities we will explore in detail in this book. It is a powerful compiled and strongly typed programming language designed in such a way that the basics of this language can be learned literally in a few hours, and within about a week or two, one can create applications intended for production deployment. Currently, applications and tools developed in Go form the core of most components of the so-called container ecosystem. For example, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Podman, Docker, Prometheus, and other popular tools like NATS, MinIO, and NSQ are programmed in Go.
