Beschreibung
Walks in Jelení are a poetic confession of the author. Several layers intertwine here – memories of childhood, which the author associates with the now-defunct village in the Ore Mountains, warnings about war and its consequences, and last but not least, a tribute to the mysterious landscape consisting of squelching meadows, singing forests, brambles, and bubbling streams. Ballads in the style of Villon alternate with sonnets, and fans of free verse will also find their section here. The illustrations for the book were provided by graphic artist Jiří Staněk, who also illustrated Řezanka's Imprints and the book Children Discover the World.
