Povídky – Hlinka Tomáš (2018)

The book is a collection of six short stories. The story "Kamil Redel" tells of a pair of partners who have known each other since childhood, then their paths diverge, they pursue studies, meet other partners, but ultimately find a connection, realize they belong together, and stay together. Sudden jealousy leads the young husband in the story "Lístek" to leave home after finding a letter from a lover in his wife's coat pocket. In the story "Patricie," a divorced man meets a woman drifting away from her husband, seeking a new relationship among friends. The story "Jana and the Theater" narrates the tale of a young woman who succumbed to the charm of theater and left her husband and job for a lover who is a director at the theater. In the story "Jindřich," a couple embarks on a long journey that leaves them with lifelong memories. In the final story "Meeting by the Sea," an incoming visitor from the inland meets an unknown sailor in a seaside restaurant, but they grow closer and share their fates and desires, and although they part ways, they remain forever close.
