Although the purpose and principle of using basic electrical appliances have essentially remained unchanged for more than 100 years of utilizing electrical energy, a number of new appliances have been added and continue to be added. Their power has increased, the voltage to which they are connected has risen, and thus greater demands are placed on the safety of their design. Electronics are used for their control and management, and appliances are connected into systems that interlink with each other and are connected by data links. Appliances are connected to the electricity supplier's network, which must be suitable for the connection of the appliance. In addition, appliances must only be used in environments for which they are intended. Therefore, different appliances are labeled in various ways and are used accordingly. Our market is full of appliances imported from around the world. Essentially, they all look the same, and the system of their labeling and overall safety is the same. This does not surprise anyone today. However, it is the result of a global effort to unify the technical standards that apply to electrical appliances.
