The first revised edition of the essential astrological manual by Jan Kefer (1906-1941), Doctor of Philosophy, hermeticist, and long-time president of the Universalia society. The new edition is accompanied by a foreword from the author's son, Reginald Kefer.
The book is divided into clear chapters: Basic Assumptions of Astrology, Horoscope Calculation, Synthetic Study of the Horoscope, Analytical Study of the Horoscope, and Basics of Astromagic. "Freedom is a spiritual quality. If we want to be free, we must cultivate freedom and remove from our lives everything that hinders our spiritual independence," writes Kefer in his Practical Astrology (1939). Two years later, he was arrested by the Gestapo and deported to Flossenbürg, where he died in December 1941.
