The ninth volume of the comic story series titled "Classic Comics by Marko Čermák" from Václav Vávra Publishing has become the book Blue Five – The Mystery of the Old Fortress and Other Stories. Blue Five (in the Classic Comics by Marko Čermák series, this book is also part of volumes 2 and 8) is the most extensive comic series by Marko Čermák. It also holds a significant record for the uninterrupted publication of a single comic series in one magazine. That magazine was Pionýrská stezka. It began publication in January 1971 as a biweekly, and from the 5th year 1974/1975 until its demise in March 1992, it was published monthly. From 1990, the magazine was titled Stezka. Readers could follow the adventures of Blue Five for a full twenty years, from the very first issue until August 1990, specifically until issue 12 of the 20th year. The authors of the series' scripts about the life of the canoeing club's team were Jiří Hromádko and Bohumil Kolář, hidden under the name J. B. Kamil. In its category, Blue Five ranks alongside Rychlé šípy as one of the series with the most continuations.
