Beschreibung
In the fourth book about the Ore Mountains, together with Otilie K. Grezlová, we reach their easternmost outpost. This part has its own distinct character: there are more larger towns and a charming plateau with a remarkable relief resembling enormous rolling waves. Accompanying all this are many events, historical twists, interesting people, as well as captivating and poignant stories and unique natural and artistic monuments. Our final wanderings through the Ore Mountains begin in Osek, a town not only with a stunning monastery. Further east, we encounter foothill villages, one of which is the birthplace of a former first lady of the republic. And then there's the village with the unusual name Hrob, where the Thirty Years' War began in a way. High above them, on the border with Germany, we are enchanted by Moldava, a place cherished by cross-country skiers and famous for its unique railway line into the foothills. We won't miss Nové Město or Mikulov, we'll visit many hills in the area, and we'll see stone suns. Cínovec is associated for many with the Long Pond, heathlands, and Eliška Junková, but we will find that there is much more to see here. Dubí is not just a spa and a unique church, but also a town of porcelain 'cibulák', Art Nouveau houses, a station like from old times, and more...
