Beschreibung
The remnants of the old forest line the ancient border between Plzeň and Prague. Let us embark together with the writer Otomar Dvořák into the land of his ancestors, to the places where the Brdy mountains merge with the Křivoklát Highlands. This time, it will be an adventurous journey that begins with searching for traces of medieval Rokycany, recalling the American liberators from May 1945 and dramatic incidents at the demarcation line. Our path will lead us across the Břaská Plain marked by mining tradition and along the Klabava River to the Berounka River. We will meet the legendary healer from Radnice and stroll along the ridge of the legendary Radče mountains, admire the picturesque world of wooden cottages in Zbiroh, visit the largest grove of poisonous yews in the Czech Republic, uncover the secrets of the forgotten rope-making craft, and explore the iron-rich baths in Cerhovice. We will also investigate the most mysterious Czech castle Zbiroh, the equally strange castle pair of Žebrák and Točník, the lost Řebřík in the woods, and other unknown ruins or fortifications. We will search for the 'Rokycany balls' and the 'beggar's meteorite.' Finally, we will rest by the Kařez ponds, where we will feel as if we are in South Bohemia. During the journey, we will hear many thrilling stories and learn about incredible fates...
