Come with us to take a look behind the scenes of the training and preparation of riders and the old Kladruber horses for service in the mounted police. After 1989, horses in the Czech Republic returned to service within the police ranks. The old Kladruber breed is also represented here, primarily used by the mounted divisions of city police in Prague, Pardubice, and Ostrava. The founders of the imperial stud farm in Kladruby nad Labem and the first breeders of this horse most likely, and without exaggeration, did not anticipate that they were breeding a horse that would one day have this role. They bred a dominant, elegant, reliable, enduring, and above all safe gala carrossier, as the safety of the monarch was always the top priority. Thus, from the very beginning, this breed was endowed with characteristics that directly predispose it for service in the police.
