Naturally, it is about an angel, but it is also about how we ourselves are doing with angels. And that the world needs angels, even if they sometimes doubt it themselves. We are probably used to Pavel Čech's books being more cheerful, although each one has its own dark note. However, even those dark notes, even the flying angel — where to? — always carry hope that has wings, and quite possibly — as Mr. Skácel beautifully wrote once — wings that are rather unexpected: sometimes the angel is angry with us, we each have our own angel, and hope has wings of beech and a heart of linden wood…
