Beschreibung
The monograph is dedicated to the current issue of reconciling professional and family life for employed pregnant women and parents of small children, who are one of the vulnerable groups in the labor market. The author comprehensively maps and subsequently analyzes and compares individual legal tools for harmonizing work and family, emphasizing the protection of disadvantaged subjects – parents with children and pregnant employees. The book presents various family-friendly measures, which are divided into three basic lines: labor law, social security, and the provision of childcare services. It involves creating suitable working conditions for employees with small children, adequate financial support for parents through social benefits, preferably while they are still engaged in gainful employment, and especially ensuring financially, locally, and capacity-wise accessible childcare services. The area of facilities and services for preschool-aged children is currently processed according to the approved draft law on children's groups (June 2014). The publication is intended for legal theorists and practitioners as well as the general public.
