In his publication Oh, Sweet Old Age, Prof. MUDr. Zdeněk Dienstbier, DrSc., honorary chairman of the League Against Cancer Prague, continues from his previous successful book A Guide to Aging or How to Delay It, this time in collaboration with Czech actress and former wife of Karel Högra, Zdenka Procházková. Both authors generalize their own experiences from 85 years of life and confront them with knowledge from the fields of gerontology and geriatrics. With perspective and humor, but also with deep understanding of the health and psychological issues of the older or oldest generation, they address individual groups of diseases in old age and attempt to alert especially their peers to the risks and problems of aging, recommending how to at least somewhat successfully fend off these issues in old age.
