Beschreibung
In this exceptional language guide for traveling in the Caucasus, you will find four completely different languages that are spoken here and are also official languages. The region is incredibly diverse, which is reflected in the fact that each of the languages listed in the guide belongs to a different language group and uses a different script. Azerbaijani (also known as Azeri) is written in Latin script and uses the same alphabet as the related Turkish language, except for one character. Armenian and Georgian have their own scripts that are different from other languages, while Chechen uses the Cyrillic alphabet. For each language, we also provide an overview of grammar (except for Chechen) and basic practical information about the respective country. The grammars are published here for the very first time.
