The presented monograph deals with the theological-ethical reflection on international migration and immigration policy. The author seeks answers to the following questions in light of theological ethics: Is the division of the world into individual states ethically justifiable? Is the existence of immigration policy, i.e., the regulation of international migration, justifiable? The answers to these questions bring with them a number of ethical implications that should be reflected in the formation of immigration policies as well as in the engagement of Christian churches. The work first presents a historical view of the reality of states and immigration policy and represents typified models of contemporary immigration policies based on selected immigration policies of individual states. Furthermore, the author presents relevant stimuli from modern political philosophy. He relies particularly on the thoughts of I. Kant and H. Arendt, but also discusses the normative socio-philosophical foundations of contemporary immigration policy. In the final chapter, theological-ethical solutions are formulated. The author draws on the basic principles of Christian social ethics - the principles of personality, solidarity, and subsidiarity - which he critically reflects upon based on the topic being addressed, and also presents attitudes towards acceptance...
