Beschreibung
The summer of nineteen fifteen; the second summer of the war known as the Great War. On the Franco-Belgian border, hundreds of thousands of young men, French, British, and Germans, are experiencing the misery of life in the trenches and dying in 'no man's land' day after day; German submarines circle around the British Isles like hungry hounds. Even Italy has raised its sword and is contesting with Austria-Hungary for dominion over the Alpine rocks with artillery and machine guns... Adventurer Franta Franta is not drawn to war; he fought his battles in this conflict long before it officially broke out, and he certainly has no intention of getting killed for nothing, merely as an insignificant pawn in someone else's foolish game. After leaving Libya, he has enough money to live carefree for several months, and for now, he wants nothing more than to enjoy a vacation - the first in many years. A very long vacation, if possible. But he is who he is. And the present is always marked by the past, whether we sense it or not.
