Ms. Nataša Velenská, who is responsible for reptiles at the Prague Zoo, has written another book dedicated to one of the favorite terrarium animals, the green iguana. A standalone publication on this species has not yet been released in Czech, so it is very good that it is now coming out. Iguanas are not at all undemanding animals; they require a lot of care and need a large living space as adults. They have specific humidity requirements, enjoy swimming, need quality green food, and a source of heat and UV radiation. To be tamed, they require regular attention. The book is clearly divided into chapters, with attention given to basic care, breeding, raising young, possible breeding complications, the relationship with humans, the biology of the species, etc. Both beginners and experienced breeders will find valuable information here. Everything is complemented by many high-quality color photographs and illustrations.
