The environment is a value whose significance is undeniable and thus deserves our constant attention. A means of its protection is, among other things, appropriate legal regulation through mutually complementary norms from various legal fields. This book specifically focuses on the possibilities of criminal law in relation to environmental protection, as criminal law is the means designated to protect the most significant values in society. The author presents an analysis of the key tools of criminal law in this area at the levels of international, European, and Czech law. In addition, she also addresses the characteristics of environmental crime, the construction of criminal law norms in environmental protection, and the peculiarities of such norm creation.
