A collected edition of three prose works – The Moon in the Harvest, Dimanche a Paris, and The Chinese Foam. Their events take place in very different natural and human environments – in the Czech (Moravian countryside, Prague), French (Paris, Provence), and Polynesian (Tahiti). These diverse sceneries create a colorful and intricate fresco in their composed whole, a cohesive image of the world in its alluring and captivating form, while simultaneously revealing it as a mysterious labyrinth despite its brightness and allure. "Little moonlight sonata or sonata quasi una fantasia," as V. Binar refers to the present ensemble, was created between 1970 and 2010. The duality of human life, its span between birth and demise, is expressed in The Chinese Foam by the moon, whose constant transformations and renewals from new to full moon embody and symbolize the intertwining of reality and dream, as well as birth and death, and thus the moon permeates the entire book as its central motif and linchpin.
