Beschreibung
Once upon a time - the story of this book takes place in ancient times of myths and legends, when people lived in harmony with various deities and nature. It is a simple story, yet rich in human relationships - primarily erotic ones. A ship of a Phoenician trader and his slave sails to the fictional Mint Island, located somewhere in the Central Sea. The ship then departs, leaving the slave on the island. He has been sold, but his social status will change fundamentally, as he is to serve the island queen during religious ceremonies. Their content surprises him; it is purely sexual, as this form intensely worships the cult of unity and fertility on the island. The imposed, albeit pleasant, ritual duty then develops into spontaneous romantic passion, but it is not allowed to continue... Václav Pelegrýn, the author of this story, is also a fictional name, although the person bearing it truly exists and is of mature age. Until now, he has primarily published on mostly academic topics drawn from the fields of social anthropology, oriental studies, and foreign policy, where he appears under his real name. To avoid confusing admirers of scholarly literature, he chose a pseudonym for his first major foray into the genre of fiction.
