This dictionary is the largest single-volume Spanish-Czech and Czech-Spanish dictionary published in our country to date. It is a completely original work capturing contemporary written and spoken language as accurately as possible. Despite its general focus, it also includes terminology from the fields of economics, law, science, and technology. Our goal was for you to find entries, meanings, phrases, and idioms in the dictionary that are actually used today. In compiling the Spanish section of the dictionary, we relied on the latest Spanish explanatory dictionaries from renowned foreign publishers such as Santillana, SGEL (Sociedad General Española), RAE (Real Academia Española), Ediciones SM (Fundación Santa María), Espasa Calpe, and Grupo ANAYA, as well as specialized idiomatic and phraseological dictionaries, professional dictionaries and encyclopedias, and last but not least, our own corpus resources and the internet. Instead of many expressions that are now completely unused or outdated, our dictionary offers you new terms and concepts that have recently gained popularity, such as servidor, escáner, módem, gripe aviar, eurodiputado, and hundreds more.
