A new and revised edition of the successful book by Czech writer, dissident, and Charter 77 signatory Eva Kantůrková, Přítelkyně z domu smutku. The author describes the life stories of women she met in Ruzyně prison when she was wrongfully imprisoned. A well-known television series was also made based on this work. The book includes, in addition to the author's editorial note, a preface by Václav Havel from 1987, which has never been published in book form in our country. The title is released on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Prague Spring.
