The first chapter presents the definitions of the seven base units of the new SI system approved in 2018. It also includes selected units of the SI system used in mechanics, their decimal multiples and submultiples, and conversions between units. The following six chapters outline the basic formulas, theorems, definitions, principles, and laws from six areas of mechanics, including relevant illustrations. Specifically, these areas are statics, kinematics, dynamics, elasticity and strength, hydromechanics, and thermomechanics.
