Beschreibung

On the pages of the second volume, the authors enter cellars and observe the miraculous process by which grapes are transformed into wine. The chapters cover a wide range of topics. The first two chapters focus in detail on the history of winemaking and the development of winemaking architecture. This is followed by a chapter on the composition of wine, and the largest chapter provides a detailed and illustrative description of various methods of producing still and sparkling wines, as well as a list of their shortcomings, defects, or diseases, and an overview of our wine sub-regions with their differences. The conclusion of the book is dedicated to a summary discussion of the beneficial effects of wines, incorporating the latest findings from around the world. It also includes the most comprehensive overview of wine patrons to date, along with a selection of the most interesting proverbs. For better understanding of the issues, the book again includes a winemaking glossary, this time focused on terms related to wine production. The second volume continues from the first with its demanding and elaborate graphic design. Navigation is also facilitated by several indexes. The book is published in collaboration with the Wine Fund and the Union of Winemakers of the Czech Republic.
