Gerin Fox was mistaken. Any mention of grapes makes Gerin uneasy, as it means that the Sithonian god Mavrix is meddling in the affairs of the North again; wherever this playful, mischievous, and sophisticated god makes his presence known, hell follows. But times have changed, and Gerin's current enemies, the Gradi, have their own cold and wild gods, who devastate the subjugated land to the point that it becomes uninhabitable for anyone who refuses to worship them. To stand against them, Gerin must ally with powerful gods: Mavrix, Baivers, and the primitive gods living deep underground - then attempt to survive the war of the gods, so he can unite the North - and declare himself the true king of the North...
