The well-known spiritual author, Carmelite P. Vojtěch Kodet, recounts his life story in an extensive book interview. We gradually learn about his ancestors, his grandfather who went through Russian captivity, his father, a former political prisoner, and other family members. P. Kodet reminisces about his childhood in the countryside, his search for a life path, the conditions in the Litoměřice seminary, his priestly assignments, and being monitored by the StB, as well as the restoration of the monastery in Kostelní Vydří and his service as an exorcist. In an open dialogue, he describes the difficult periods of his life and opens up topics that are important to him: faith as a personal relationship, forgiveness, healing, the art of discernment, and living with God's word.
