Vládci loutek – Heinlein Robert A. (2011)

First came the reports of a flying saucer landing in Iowa. Then came the announcement declaring the whole thing a hoax. The end of the story. Case closed. Except that two agents from the most secretive intelligence agency of the American government disappeared from the landing site without filing any report. Four more sent later also vanished. So the head of intelligence got involved, along with two of his best agents; they discovered that an invasion of parasitic aliens was underway, capable of taking complete control over a person with just a touch. Whatever the parasites desire, the people will do. And they already have control over most of Iowa. One of the agents who uncovered the truth is Sam Cavanaugh. Unfortunately, just shortly before one of the aliens took him over, and he began to work involuntarily for the invaders. He has just found out that a high official at the Department of the Treasury is under the control of aliens. Given that the Treasury oversees the Secret Service, which protects the president, the subjugation of the entire nation is within reach.
