Martina Forman's autobiographical debut, full of witty reflections and sharp observations, suggests that we will not be leafing through the pages of a beloved diary soaked with tears of love, defiance, and hatred, but that we will be introduced to a personality who, with unusual detachment, self-irony, and humor, managed to recap her life's search, struggles, defeats, and victories. Even though today the starry half of the scheming Hollywood addresses her affectionately as Martina, she is much calmer. Why not?
