Požičovňa ticha – Marton Ján (2019)

The Silence Library is not borrowed. It is mine. I thought about whom I would address for this annotation on the other side of the book. It wouldn't be fair. Not for me, nor for the person I would address. Either they would remain silent, or they would borrow words that would actually lose their meaning. Since the Silence Library is truly mine. It is underscored by the silence and eternity of the poems that are hidden deep within. I found silence and lost it. I lent it out and got it back during powerful times. In the end, I admitted peace in all metaphors, verses, headlines, and dots. This collection was created as a retrospective look at the world around me. At life and love within me. At discoveries and especially all those losses that pushed me forward and will always push me forward. If you liked even one verse, let me know in silence. I will respond in kind, but I will feel it. Somewhere in the very depths of silent caves, what is meant to be connected remains connected. Perhaps more forever than just for a time. And that torn apart? It will surely be lost in the noise of frivolous shallow histories. Ján Marton
