The year is 2020. A contaminated mouse escapes from the Institute of Functional Immortality, where a means to extend Putin's life is being developed. A highly contagious virus spreads rapidly through the subway passengers across Moscow, leading to an apocalypse: most of the city's inhabitants die, some survive, and the rest turn into zombies. They can barely see now, but they run quickly, hear and smell very well, and hunt the uninfected in droves. The heroes of the story are survivors caught in different parts of Moscow during the apocalypse. They do not know each other, but they are heading in the same direction - to a place where it is still possible to save not only themselves but also the future of Russia... In addition to Vladimir Putin, the book features figures such as Margarita Simonyan, the editor-in-chief of Russia Today, propagandist Vladimir Solovyov, and Patriarch Kirill. The Mouse is a satirical novel that pulls no punches and has been banned throughout Russia for its provocative nature.
