Four-year-old Gábinka lives with her large family and animals in the Green House on the outskirts of a small town. Even in the idyllic environment full of love, her childhood world is not without its clouds. Gábinka occasionally finds herself in situations she cannot handle on her own. The problems of everyday life, which are obvious to adults, can be unknown and difficult for a child. Fortunately, in such moments, the fairy Jasenka arrives to help her with her magical book of dreams. Thus, the ordinary girl transforms into Princess Gabriela I. during her sleep, which helps her learn from her mistakes and better understand the world around her. In addition to Gábinka, readers will also meet her older brother Robin, her mother the translator, her father the veterinarian, and her grandparents, as well as many animals with whom they will enjoy a lot of fun. In the second part of the book, the children will go with Gábinka, who is now a year older, and Robin to spend Christmas holidays with their grandmother in the mountains.
