Eddie Brock, connected with an alien symbiote, leaves New York and heads west to San Francisco, the city where he was born, because he wants to leave his problems behind. But the problems have other ideas. Brock vows to become a protector of the innocent, but he is a two-meter, 260-pound monster with bulging muscles and shark-like fangs. Venom quickly attracts attention – first from an enraged Spider-Man, who is sure that Brock has broken his word, and then from a team of armored enemies who have decided to kill the "deadly protector."
