Zednáři, Masaryk, katolíci - trnitá cesta od nenávisti k dialogu – Pospíšil Ctirad Václav (2023)

The monograph is the result of many years of research work, whose main author – renowned theologian Prof. Ctirad Václav Pospíšil – admits that he himself had to go through a long thorny path from fear of Freemasons to the revelation of the true state of affairs, thus achieving a certain kind of liberation. Together with colleagues Veronika Řeháková and Jan Sušer, they now want to guide readers along the same path. This is the first such endeavor in the history of Czech Catholic theology and historiography from the revival to the present day. The book was created based on a series of pilot studies, and therefore it is divided into four parts. The first part maps in detail Masaryk's relationship to the issue of the evolutionary origin of man for the first time. The second chapter presents the stance of the First Republic Freemasons on the same issue. Many will be surprised that President Liberator and the Freemasons are very close to the Christian reception of the origin-creation of man in this area. The second part of the book deals with T. G. Masaryk's relationship with the Freemasons throughout his life, which has not been processed in this way by anyone before.
