Richard Corben, known primarily from the comic magazine Heavy Metal and from the works of Fantagor Press, is a globally recognized creator who has received, among other honors, one of the most prestigious comic awards: the Grand Prize for Lifetime Achievement at the International Comics Festival in Angoulême, France, and he has also been inducted into the Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame. Shadows of the Past tells the story of the warrior Tugat, who awakens from a strange dream in the midst of a mad land full of hungry zombies, cruel sorcerers, busty giants, and treacherous companions. However, this does not stop him from embarking on a quest to save his beloved mare Frix.
