Beschreibung
One of Howard's most famous stories about the Cimmerian Conan, titled "Rogues in the House," was first published in Weird Tales magazine in January 1934. Screenwriter Timothy Truman and artists Cary Nord and Tomás Giorello have now joined forces to retell the story of the fearless barbarian's encounter with the Red Priest in a way you've never read before. Conan finds himself completely destitute in a city jail, awaiting the gallows. However, a young nobleman named Murilo offers him a deal – life in exchange for killing his cunning political opponent, the Red Priest Nabonidus. But the entire plan quickly goes awry when Conan and Murilo find themselves trapped in the underground labyrinth of the priest's house, where they must overcome numerous deadly traps while being pursued by a mysterious bloodthirsty creature. In the very first story, "Rats in the Walls," we meet another of Howard's heroes – the sailor Steve Costigan and his loyal dog. Stories about him, as well as other Howard tales from the sports environment, unfortunately, have never been published in Czech.
