This Czech-language book presents an original practice combining Wiccan magic, mythology, native belief and folklore. It draws on recent religious-studies and ethnological research, which has provided extensive knowledge of ancestral rituals preserved in villages and less urbanized settlements. The author does not attempt to present a reconstructed religion, nor does she believe that Wicca, as a specific branch of modern pagan witchcraft and an initiatory mystery cult, can be applied unequivocally to the local agrarian and solar calendar. She deeply believes, however, that those following the path of the witch do not always need to turn to the folk magic of other nations, because their own can be equally beautiful and inspiring.
