Beschreibung
The "Síbl", or the trophy aircraft of German origin Siebel Si 204 and its Czechoslovak unlicensed copy Aero C-3, undoubtedly belongs among the legendary aircraft of the post-war era of Czechoslovak aviation. In terms of numbers, it was one of the most numerous and widely spread types, and thus its role was no less significant compared to other originally German types, the "mules", "aradas", and "bikras". Moreover, its use encompassed a fairly wide range of different tasks in both air transport and training, aerial photography, and photogrammetry, and ultimately, from the end of 1951, in the process of building an entire bomber division. In this case, although its role in terms of combat value was rather symbolic, it still allowed the division's personnel to be prepared within a few years to transition to the jet bomber aircraft Iljušin Il-28 in 1955.
