Beschreibung
This Czech-language historical publication examines the final military exercise held by the Czechoslovak armed forces in 1929 in Moravia, in the area stretching from Bruntál to Brno, with the main focus of combat activity around Kroměříž. It explains how final exercises were designed as training for combat under conditions and with a scenario resembling a real war as closely as possible, while reflecting the country’s current political and military situation and anticipating developments in the near future. The book describes the course of the exercise, the deployed ground and air units and their equipment, as well as the exceptionally large participation of foreign observers led by French Marshal Pétain. President T. G. Masaryk also visited the exercise. The account is documented with 110 contemporary photographs reproduced in a larger format, and this issue of Army is expanded by 16 pages compared with previous issues.
